Hey babes!
I hope you've all had a fabulous weekend, and that you're ready to ROCK this week!
Last week was Geek Fest in Johannesburg, and I got to do these cool Batman nails that I want to show you! :-D
First off, we started with natural tips, and a clear acrylic & gel overlay. We then did a yellow gelish base called "Coco Cabana Banana" from the "Living In Rio" neon collection. It's a very bright yellow.
After curing, I applied a Batman vinyl to the middle finger nails on both hands, and painted over it with China Glaze "Liquid Leather" black. I then sponged a black glitter gradient on both the ring fingers, and a full gold glitter nail for the thumbs. :) I sealed it all with top coat and UV Glaze, and VOILA... One happy batman fan.
Here, have a look. :-)
Okay so the question everyone's dying to ask. Where on EARTH did I get these AWESOME Batman vinyls. Well, remember I told you about Queen B from Because I Shop? YASS! I think she already had these as a design in her online shop. I'm not sure. Or I requested them. Hahaha. Who cares? She'll make more! Did you know B will make any custom design you want? From nail art vinyls, wall vinyls to t-shirts. She's the BOMB! And the vinyls are such amazing quality, and so easy to work with. I absolutely love them!
So girls, please tell me what you think, or if you have any questions about the products, techniques etc. I'd LOVE to chat with you in the comments section. Over to you.
Stay Sassy!!
xoxo

#WarOnWrinklesWednesday - Polishing Peel
Hey babes!
I hope you've all been having an amazing week so far! Today I want to share another one of my journeys with you. I'm an ambassador for a company who distributes THE most amazing health and beauty products, and I'd like to share some of my favorite products with you.
With more than 250 products, ranging from Vitamins and supplements, to skincare and make up, I have tons to share with you. So the members of Sassy VIP group on Facebook would know that I had a massive shock last week, when I realized I have a few unwelcome visitors on my face... And for the first time, it was WRINKLES, not pimples. What? Woah! Stop the bus right there! People, I'm only 31, and besides... Have YOU ever seen a mermaid with wrinkles? I think NOT ladies. They had to go!!! So, last week in my group, I declared my #WarOnWrinkles on facebook live.
Today I posted my 1 week progress selfie, and I was so amazed by the results, I decided to tell all of you about it too!
My first weapon in my war against wrinkles, is the Polishing Peel. It's a creamy, nonabrasive formula, clinically proven to be equivalent to a professional microdermabrasion treatment. That's damn powerful!!! And... It's all natural ingredients!
One of the key ingredients in the Polishing Peel is pumpkin enzymes, which immediately works to resurface and smooth skin by dissolving built up dead and damaged skin cells, that make your skin appear old and wrinkled. That's EXACTLY what I need! By exfoliating regularly, your skin will actually appear more radiant and youthful, and it will help your antiaging products penetrate your skin easier. Whoop whoop. Double WIN!! The other key ingredient, Bentonite clay, a natural clay derived from volcanic ash, acts as a magnet to remove dulling cells and toxins.
At the same time, you don't want to exfoliate too much! By over exfoliating, you're removing the only protective barrier your skin has against everyday environmental toxins, sun exposure etc. It is advised to use the Polishing Peel 3 times in the first week, then twice a week thereafter to maintain your polished, youthful, radiant results. I've been using it for a week now, and I am absolutely blown away by the results.
Here, let me show you. The first picture was taken last week, before the first treatment, and the after pictures were taken yesterday, after the third treatment for the week.
I don't know about you, but I am absolutely in awe of what this product has done for me in just one week!! If you'd like to get more details or order yours, please join my VIP group on Facebook. (PS: There's a competition happening there right now!) CLICK HERE.
I could see a visible difference after the second use, but I waited till after the third use to take another pictuer. I never imagined it would be THIS awesome! I love how it instantly smooths your skin, leaving it feeling and looking absolutely beautiful and healthy. I SUPER LOVE this product! I can't wait to see how amazing my skin will be after the first month. Whoop whoop!
That's all from me for now, Check my LIVE video tonight at 7 in the VIP group, to see what the second AMAZING weapon is in my #WarOnWrinkles.

Super Sparkles for Sassy's FIRST BLOGIVERSARY!!
Hey fabulous people!
I hope you're all having an amazing Manimonday! Man, am I excited about today's post. 😃 Can you believe Sassy In The City Mobile Beauty Blog turns ONE today!! I know, right?! I can't believe it's been a year already. And in some ways I also actually can't believe that it's only been a year. And what better way to celebrate, than with a super sparkly manicure, Sassy style!
First, I want to tell you about the most stunning, sparkly, colorful, easy to use holographic pigment powder. I got it from Born Pretty Store online. If you're not familiar with them, you have GOT to check them out! They have the most amaaaaaazing nail art and supplies!
First off I did a full manicure with tips and an acrygel overlay, in a coffin shape. Gorgeous! My client told me she's very extra, but I didn't expect her to ask for holo on every single nail! YESSS! I've been playing around with the holographic powders I got from Born Pretty, and I knew she would be in holo heaven (as I was) when I started packing them on the table in front of her. Gorgeously shaped little jars filled with the most beautiful holographic powders. Stunning!! Here, let me show you.
How stunning, right?! Katherine opted for the silver one. It's beyond breath taking! I started with a gelish base, and gelish holo glitter, cured as normal. Then... the MAGIC! Using an eyeshadow applicator, I picked some of the powder up and rubbed it on her nails. It.. was... STUNNING! We both absolutely LOVED it! The application is super easy, and it looks terrific on the nail. I toocoated, cured, and applied cuticle oil. And voila... the final product.
And from that day forward, she was known as Lady Glitter Sparkles.
I hope you love this mani as much as I do! Remember, if you'd like to buy anything from Born Pretty Store, you can use my 10% discount code located on the right of the blog. 💖
Just an FYI... There's a blogiversary and 50K blog views celebration in the form of a FABULOUS GIVEAWAY happening in my VIP GROUP on Facebook.. You have GOT TO be part of it!!! --->(CLICK HERE)<---
Lots of love till next time. 😘 Stay Sassy

Monday Blues, Anyone?
Hello babes :-)
Did you have a good weekend? Having a bit of a blue Monday? Well, I have something to brighten your Monday a bit... A review on Punked Neon hair dye! :-D Yay!!!
Who is Punked Neon Hair dye and Contact Lenses? Escape to Punktonia with me.
Punked is South Africa's biggest Funky Color vegan Neon Hair Care supplier to Punk, Goth, Emo and geek culture.
Tens of thousands of enthusiastic Punktonians descend on the web page and Facebook page every day for info sharing, talking and posting their Punked out selfies, and geek lifestyle entertainment.
You can buy Hair Colour, Shampoos, Masks, Conditioner, Hair Care Sprays on their website, or chat with likeminded Punktonians, share your selfies with your favourite products on their Facebook page.
Step out of your comfort zone and experiment with Punked Neon Hair Dye and contact lenses. It is the place to go each day to see all the latest hair trends and be surrounded by people who all share the passion of a colourful and exciting life.
The products they sent me:
Bleach
Mixer
Turquoise Punked Neon Hair Dye
Turquoise Freeze Conditioner
Turquoise Punked Freeze Shampoo
Turquoise Punked Freeze Spray
Olwen from Follicles Hair Studio in Vorna Valley very kindly offered to do the colour application for me. Oh my goodness, did she do an AMAZING job! I've honestly never been happier with my hair. Because I'm used to wear more than one colour in my hair, I decided to add dark blue to the turquoise. We went for a blue and turquoise grandient. Let me show you.
Wow. How vibrant and stunning is the colour, right? Below are a few pics where you can see the gradient better.
Important notice: You have to lighten your hair to get neon results! The lighter the hair, the more vibrant the colour. Darker hair would give a more matt result.
What is my conclusion? Do I like it? Do I love it? Do I hate it? Will I EVER use it again? Well, keep reading. :)
I was very surprised by how deep and vibrant the colours are. The application was very easy, and the drip-free formula dries to a chalky finish. We left the colour to develop for 2 hours. To be honest, I was rather nervous, as I've never left colour on my hair for that long. I was blown away by the results, leaving my hair soft and super shiny. BETTER than it was before! I kid you not.
I used the turquoise shampoo and freeze spray, but I decided to continue using my regular sulphate free conditioner. I've found that blues and greens fade rather fast compared to pinks, oranges, purples and reds, so I prepared myself to touch up every two weeks. It has now been 3.5 weeks, no touch up, and this is what the colour looks like:
Still as bright and vibrant as I hoped it would be. :-)
General conclusion: I love punked!! I feeds my hair while colouring. It's beautiful, vibrant, and long lasting if taken care of the way it should be. Rember, if you choose not to use their specific colour shampoo and conditioner, you HAVE to use a good sulphate free shampoo and conditioner. My favourite is the sulphate free argon oil shampoo and conditioner by Mark Anthony, available at Clicks or online.
You can purchase the products I used on the following links:
Bleach @ R70.00
Punked Conditioning Formulated Colour Mixer @ R45.00
Turquoise Punked Neon Hair Dye @ R 90.00
Turquoise Freeze Conditioner @ R 70.00
Turquoise Punked Freeze Shampoo @ R 70.00
Turquoise Punked Freeze Spray @ R 60.00
You can find Punked Neon Hair Dye and Contact Lenses on:
Online Shop
Facebook
Lastly, here are a quick look at the other awesome colours they have:
Got the colour, but need an amazing hair fairy to help you? You can contact Olwen on 082 510 5601, visit her Facebook Page, or pop in to the salon at 16 Gustav Preller street, Vorna Valley, Midrand.
Tell me, if you could choose only ONE of these colours for yourself, what would it be?Have you used punked neon products before? What colours did you choose to go with? What was your overall experience? Did you LOVE it as much as I do?
Thank you so much for stopping by and reading. As always, you rock my world!!!
Till next time. Stay Sassy!

Life Is Peachy with Hean City Fashion #178
Hello babes :-D
Wow, I can't believe it's Friday already! What a crazy busy week. But GOOD busy! :-D Yay!
Today I want to show you a stunning polish that is currently on special at Glamore Cosmetics. It's a stunning coral-like peachy orange from Hean's City Fashion range, #178.
Pictured below is a set of natural tips, with an acrylic overlay. We then added two coats of Hean's City Fashion #178, with topcoat.
I love the formula of this polish. It applies very smoothly, and is beautifully opaque in just two coats. The consistency is absolutely perfect, and it has a stunning gloss finish when dry.
Like I've mentioned, the entire Hean City Fashion collection is on sale at the moment, for only R60 per 12ml bottle. Why? Well... I'm terribly sorry to break your hearts, but this collection is being discontinued by Hean HQ in Poland. *Insert hysterical sobs* So you better hurry over there and get your hands on some of these babies. Whether it being your first, or buying backups, you NEED to do it - NOW!
I'm sure Hean will continue to impress us with the new collection. I'm VERY excited to see what they come up with. Whatever it is, I know it will be nothing but awesomeness.
Glamore Cosmetics have a wide variety of high quality, affordable cosmetics ranging from skincare, to nailcare to makeup. Everything a girl's heart desires.

Neon I Love Hean swatches
Hello babes :)
Today I want to show you the rest of the NEON "I love Hean" nail polish collection. I decided to split today's post in two. I have another amazing Hean collection to show you, and OCD me doesn't like doing two different collections in one week, so decided to post the Neon swatches today, loads of awesome Neon nail art on Wednesday, the winner of our amazing Looking Good LCN hamper on Friday, and the new collection starting from next week. EXCITEDMENT!!!! :-D
So, without further delay, here are the last 3 babies of the NEON collection.
First up, a bright sunny yellow... #891
Next we have #893, another stunning coral, slightly lighter than #894 we looked at last week.
And lastly, this amazing bright orange - #892
How amazing? Still not convinced you need them? Here, have another look at all of them together...
Convinced? YASSS! You can buy your own piece of neon perfection at Glamore Cosmetics. Please hurry, though, as they're selling out fast, and last time I checked, they only had 1 of each colour left. Rumor has it they MIGHT import this collection one LAST time, but we're not too sure yet, as it's a limited edition at Hean HQ in Poland aswell... Panic!!! HURRRRRRRYYYYYY!!!
Once again, you can find Glamore Cosmetics on:

Lots of love, and stay sassy!

Looking Good LCN Review
Hey babes! :-)
Today I'm sharing a review on Looking Good LCN nail polish. Don't know who they are? Here's a quick look at their proud history.
As a leading manufacturer of cosmetic nail products, the success and reputation of LCN is based on a long history of providing exciting, innovative breakthroughs to the world of cosmetic science.
A PROUD HISTORY OF WILDE-COSMETICS GmbH
Wilde Dental was founded in 1914, few knew that these pioneering German researchers in dental resin would make such a lasting impact in the beauty industry. In 1985 (that's good year - the year yours truly was born - yay), Wilde Cosmetics GmbH was established to bring the same quality, durability and beauty of composite resin systems to fingernail cosmetics. The result? LCN, a revolutionary line of light-cured products designed to seal, correct, lengthen and beautify fingernails. The first of its kind in Europe, this system provided a non-acrylic alternative to conventional nail cosmetics, providing longer lasting beautiful results.
THE FUTURE OF BEAUTY
The LCN line has expanded to include natural nail, hand, foot, make-up, body and spa products. Every LCN beauty product remains the result of careful research, educated industry professionals, and a flawless eye for the future of beauty and fashion. LCN continues to break new grounds in the beauty industry, while still standing the test of time.
THE PROUD HISTORY OF LOOKING GOOD LCN
Looking Good LCN, founded in 2002 by CEO Lea Castro, started out in Wingate Park, Pretoria East. After just one year they moved to bigger premises in Pretorius Park, Pretoria East. They experienced so much success and growth, that they had to move yet again in 2007, into their current premises which is 200m², and in 2015 built a state of the art training facility boasting 250m². Their main focus is service excellence in the Beauty Industry and empowering women to become the best they can be! Having overcome many obstacles - the company has grown from strength to strength.
Pretty impressive, right? :-) What do I find best about the brand? The fact that they're also CRUELTY FREE! Definitely a big deal for me, being an animal lover, and a bit of a tree hugger! :-)
Their nail polishes are Soy Free, Vegan, Gluten free, 5-free, and promises a Streak Free Application, Dense Colour, Fast Drying, Non-Yellowing, Long Durability and Free of Parabens. Now, THAT's impressive stuff.
Let me show you. Pictured below is a plain swatch, with 3 coats, and no base or top coat.
There is no name on the bottle, and I couldn't find it on their website, so I think it might be a press sample. I'm not too sure. :-) It is a beautiful sheer nude, with a glamorous gold shimmer. If you look closely, you can see a slight pink shimmer too, which is clearer in real life than I'm able to capture with my camera. What is it with beautiful nail polishes and cameras? Jealous cameras? I don't know. I just know a lot of other bloggers also have a problem with this.
These polishes retail at R120.00 each per 8ml bottle (price correct at date of posting), and can be purchased at LCN Online Shop, and selected beauty salons. Even though I couldn't find this specific one online, they do have a beautiful variety of colours to choose from.
What is my honest opinion on this nail polish? Personally, I don't think I would buy it. Why not? It takes at least 3 coats to be somewhat opaque, even though say their polishes are colour dense. I'm not too sure if this was actually meant as a topper, so I would still like to try one of their other shades, before I can cross it off my to-buy list completely. The formula is quite thin, so it is fast drying, as promised. I see they do currently have a sale on, selling at R60.00. I'm not sure how long this sale will last, so I suggest you run over there right now and grab a bottle or two before it's over.
Looking Good LCN can be found on Facebook, Twitter and InstaGram.
Do you know Looking Good LCN? Have you tried any of their polishes? I would LOVE to know, so drop me a line. :-)
Thank you all so much for stopping by and taking time to read my ramblings. :-)
Stay Sassy
xoxo

Stay Sassy
xoxo
Samantha
