WOW Women Wednesday!!

Hello, Sassies! :-D

I'm so sorry for posting this so late, I've been having some IT problems, which is a bit of a challenge at the moment. But I really think this would be worth the wait!!

Wow, do I have something exciting to share with you today! Those of you who know me well, know that one of the things I love job, is empowering other women, and networking with like-minded ladies. Well, today's post is ALL about that!!

Towards the end of last year, I got this bright idea to do a fun project with a few ladies, who's network of clients will go hand in hand with each other. Between myself and my friend Andrea, we got the most perfect team together for a stylish and elegant photoshoot to use for marketing material, and at the same time, promote everyone else in the team. Everybody wins!! Everyone involved were young women, starting their own businesses, with one goal in common: To promote our businesses, and empower ourselves and each other on our journey to success. Freaking awesome bunch of ladies, let me tell you! Here, let me introduce them:

Model, Make-Up & Hair: Angelique Grobler from Composure Hair and Makeup Artistry
https://web.facebook.com/composurestylist/?ref=page_internal

The super talented, young and funky Dress Designer: Roxi Morris from Bye June https://web.facebook.com/ByeJuneFashion/?ref=page_internal

Henna Artist: Tineesha from A Touch Of Henna SA
https://web.facebook.com/atouchofhennasouthafrica/?ref=page_internal

Florist & Event Designer: Angelique from Anubel Flower & Event Design
https://web.facebook.com/Anubel-100650660395566/

Photographers: Sean & Andrea Gerber from Andrea Gerber Photography
https://web.facebook.com/andreagerberphotography/

Venue: The Hertford Country Hotel - Devon Venue
https://web.facebook.com/HertfordCountryHotel/?ref=page_internal
The Hertford Country Hotel is absolutely exquisite! It's a quick 15 minute drive from Fourways, towards Lanseria airport. Once you enter their premises, it feels like you're 100's of kilometers away from the noise and stress of South-Africa's biggest city. I could actually see myself going there every Sunday with a book, just to escape the buzz of the crazy busy Jozi vibes. Ahhhh, bliss!

Let's get to the bragging, shall we? Hehehe. I met Angelique at her day-time job, where she teaches makeup classes, and did here nails at work. (Yep, you can also get me to do your nails at work!!) The theme here was very soft, delicate and elegant, so I decided to do a nude base, with white lace stamping. Here, let me show you. :-)

How gorgeous, right? And with that stunning henna design by the talented Tineesha - wow!! I really love it! For the mani, I used natural tips with an Acrygel overlay, over that we did a nude base with Planet Gel Polish's brownish gel polish. I love this colour, and so do most of my clients. It's a super popular color and if you don't have it in your collection yet, I suggest you get it! ASAP!

I then stamped with white Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy, and a born pretty store stamping plate. I just LOVE bornpretty's stamping plates. They work like a charm! When the stamping was done, I sealed it all in with Planet Nails's Gel Polish Top Coat (which I loooooooove, by the way).

Here's a look at some more pictures. :-D I'll share ALL of them on my Facebook page again in a few weeks.

So, honeys.. On that note, I'm going to say Happy International Women's day to ALL you fabulous ladies out there! Chat again soon!

xoxo

Au Naturale - With a touch of glam

Hello beauties :-)

Shoowee. What a week?! I actually meant to post this gorgeous manicure earlier this week already, as I still have more to show you - YAY! :-D I love having backup posts. I just wish I had more time to actually post them! Hahaha. At least it's almost weekend. Whoop whoop!

Today I want to show you a manicure that I'm absolutely in love with. Understated, elegant, and totally stunning.
We started off with 3 coats of nude gel on Farryn's natural nails. We both absolutely loved how beautiful and classy it looked. But being girly girls, we both felt like it needed just a little touch of feminine glam. We decided to go for a lacey stamping design. The stamping plate I used is from Born Pretty store, and the code is BP-02. I love this plate. The images are nice and deep, and stamps like a charm. I used Planet Nails' clear jelly stamper, and Sinful Colours "Snow me white" nail polish. It was so delicate and girly, but we decided to add yet another something small - a baby pink rhinestone.
Here, have a look :-)
What do you think? Perfection, right?! Well, I love it!

Remember, for THIS Saturday *ONLY* (10 September 2016), you get a FREE pedicure if you book a full manicure with tips and gel or acrylic. Yay!! Don't miss out. Use code SASSYSATURDAYSEPTEMBR when booking. :-)

Thank you all so much for stopping by, you rock my world!!

NEON I Love Hean Nail Art

Good morning lovely ladies :-)

How are you all doing today? Did you have a good week? YAY for Friday! :-D I hope you all have something to look forward to this weekend, even if it's just to chillax and take it easy. :-)

Today I want to show you different nail art looks I created with Hean's "Neon I love Hean" collection. I've already showed you swatches (over here and over here), but here's a picture of this amazing collection again - Just because I'm obsessed with it. You're welcome. ;-)

Now, let's look at some nail art. :-)

First I did this spongy something thingy mathingthing, using orange, yellow, pink and coral.
Yeah... I hated it. I then added a matt topcoat, and felt meh. Still didn't love it, but didn't hate it either. So I decided to try something else. :-)

Then, I tried a stamping mani. I stamped with silver Born Pretty polish over Neon I love Hean #893. I was having one of those days where nothing worked. Or I wasn't happy with any of the results. You know how some manicures look a bit unfinished, but the moment you add a matt topcoat, it's something completely different? Well, that was the case with this one. :-)
I like how feminine and delicate this is. The colour is just soooo pretty. This is also the first mani I did using my mani mat from NailCandi. Oh my. That mat, though!!!! A dream come true! I messed it up a bit, but like they say - practice makes perfect. :)

Next up.. Hahaha. Um. I don't really know what to call this... Cute fluffy monster bally thingies? :-D LOL. You come up with a name, and let me know in the comments section below. ;-)
I started with a coat of Revlon Color Stay White. After I let it dry completely, I used a dotting tool to make the bigger dots. While it was still wet, I used a fine detail brush to do the hairy/fluffy bits. I then used two smaller dotting tools to do their eyes.. Note the scary big pupil dude on my ring finer. Hahahaha. I mistakenly took the wrong dotting tool for his eyes. I like him, though. He's unique. ;-)

Then I felt I just HAD to try another reverse decal stamping mani on my NailCandi mani mat.
I used black stamping polish to stamp the outlines, then I used all the colours in the Neon I love Hean collection to colour it in. I then added a coat of white to make the colours pop. After it dried completely, I peeled it off, and applied it to my nails with Revlon white nail polish.
Now that I look at it again, I wish I mattified this one too. Hahahaha. When in doubt, ADD THE MATT!! ;-)

Products used:
I love Hean Nail Polish - Glamore Cosmetics. You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter and InstaGram
NailCandi mani mat - NailCandi. NailCandi can also be found on Facebook, Twitter and InstaGram.

PS: This is not in the blog, and I don't own it, but I thought it HAD to get a special mention - Have you seen the China Glaze spray on nail polish JUST landed in South Africa yesterday?! YASSS!!! You can buy yours from NailCandi at R150 per can. They're a tad bit pricey for me personally at this very moment (yes, I overspent on nail goodies again over the last month or two), so I haven't ordered any yet. But if you have, or you're going to, PLEASE let me know how it works? I'd love to try it some time.

Thanks so much for stopping by and reading. :)

Stay Sassy.
