Interview with Boss Model, Make Up Artist and Lingerie Designer, FARRYN TER-OSSEPIANTZ

Hello Babes :-D

How are you all doing? Are you having a great week so far? Well, if you're not... Here's your pick-me-upper. Today we're checking in with the closest person to perfection I've ever met. The ever so stunning Boss Model, Make Up Artist, Lingerie Designer and all round angel/super-star Farryn Ter-Ossepiantz.

Remember this manicure I did:

Yes? YES, of course you do! ;-) So, after this beautiful mani, MANY of my Facebook fans and friends asked me who she is, and why does she have such beautiful hands? Um. Coz she's blessed. In every single aspect. And guess what...? We don't even hate her. Nope. But, but, but, she's so STUNNING!? Yes, I know, I know. But besides being insanely beautiful, she's also got the most amazingly beautiful soul. Kind, humble, grateful, cheerful. We LOVE her!! Love love love!

Do you want to get to know a bit more about her? :) Well, because I love you, and because I'm a rockstar, I've managed to hook you up with a short and sweet interview. :) But fitst, let me show you a few pictures of the beautiful face behind these nails...

How stunning, right???

Ok, so the next picture might inspire you to hate a tiny bit. And I think I'll have to allow you to. Just a tiny bit, though... I'll tell you why.

That body!! Come on. Does she HAVE to be so sexy? I'm not entirely convinced that it's absolutely necessary. Anyway, like I said, you're only allowed to hate a TINY TINY TINY bit. Because.....

She. Is. Freakin. ADORABLE!!!

Anyway, now that you know the face... Let's meet the girl. :)

Sam: What's your background in modelling? When and why did you get started? Was it for the glamour, the money, pure kicks?
Farryn: I started modelling when I was 12. My mom and I shared the same interests in beauty since she is a hairdresser. I started out doing modelling competitions and pageants, but it was more for the confidence boost it gave me and for fun. My mom and I bonded over hair and makeup and of course the day out together. From there it just progressed into taking modelling classes where I learnt how to walk and conduct myself accordingly in a pageant. From there I was taking to Star Model Management which has now merged with Boss Models, and I was signed there and then. The journey since then has  been absolutely fabulous and so adventurous, from travelling the world to experiencing the most amazing people and walking for designers I've only ever read or dreamed about. I am forever grateful for what modelling has done for me and taken me. I think there is a big misconception about the glitz and glam that modelling is made out to be. Yeah, it's fun, you get your hair and make up done, you get to wear designer clothing, but there is so much more than what meets the eye. In the world of modelling it's a hurry up and wait game, call times are EARLY, and you basically have no say in what you do or wear and the look that is created on you. Think of a clothing hanger, that's what we are. Someone to showcase someone else's concepts and designs. The final product that everyone says is magical and gorgeous but tons of effort goes into that. It's not a case of do your hair and makeup and put on a nice dress and shoot it. That said, I LOVE what I do! The attraction to the modelling world was not at all the materialism of it, but more for confidence boost it gave me, and the people I meet along the way.
I'm not surprised at all. There's nothing materialistic or shallow about this girl!

Sam: How would you describe your professional interests?
Farryn: My professional interest varies. Since I was a little girl, I always knew I couldn't sit in a 9 to 5 job, so I became very entrepreneurial from a young age. I've made chocolate and moulded it into fun shapes and sold it at school, sold jewellery in my mom's salon and finally I found my passion as a makeup artist. I am a model, makeup artist, lingerie designer and business woman.
(and goddess!!!!)

Sam: Who are some of your favourite models and designers, and why?
Farryn: There are so many talented models and designers out there, but to name a few I would have to say Stich and Steel (pictured below), Craig Jacobs, David Tlale, The Hive and many more. I've had the privilege of walking with ex miss South Africa Melinda Ban and Cindy Nell at Dennis Lloyds fashion show as well as the CEO of MRS South Africa Joani Johnson. There are so many beautiful models that I am friends with, too many to mention. As an up and coming lingerie designer, I have found the respect of one designer to another. Seeing these designers' collections come to life is a magical moment. I love seeing and experiencing the happiness these designers feel when the first guy or girl opens the show. We as models feel pride in the collections we walk, and that in itself is indescribable.

Sam: What's your fashion matra? How would you describe your style?
Farryn: I would describe my style as simple, yet elegant. I have many different go to looks, it just depends on my mood. If it's a chilled day going to the shops, I would wear a stunning pair of fitted skinny jeans with a pair of sneakers, a loose T, and a choker. For those nights out I love a little glitz and glam and a stunning pair of stilettos, a clutch and a sexy but conservative dress. (If you can ever use those words together - Hahaha)
Farryn, darling, you're a queen! You can pull anything off. So yes, you can use ANY two words together, we'll just keep swooning. :)
